When a company or a school asks us how to get to Fiera di Roma, they usually have a specific problem: getting 30, 80 or 300 people to the halls for opening time and bringing them back in the evening, without anyone left at a station waiting for a train that does not come.

It is work we have been doing for years as part of our bus and coach hire in Rome. Below we set out what you need to know before booking: the entrances, the roads, the times that matter and how to plan the runs.

Where the Fiera is and which entrances to use

The exhibition centre has two public entrances. The North Entrance (Ingresso Nord) is at via Portuense 1645-1647, close to the large outdoor car parks. The East Entrance (Ingresso Est) is on via A.G. Eiffel, a side road off via Portuense. Before setting the drop-off point we always look at the floor plan of the event: if your stand or your room is in a hall near the East Entrance, dropping everyone at the North Entrance means a long walk with bags and materials.

According to the Fiera’s official website, the outdoor car park has more than 7,000 car spaces, plus about 1,000 indoor spaces that can be made available to organisers. For coaches, parking and loading points are managed event by event: we ask the organiser where they are planned and write them into the run schedule, so the driver knows in advance where to stop and where to wait.

Fiera di Roma: how to get there by coach from the centre and from Fiumicino

By coach you arrive via the Grande Raccordo Anulare ring road, exit 30 towards Fiumicino, then follow the signs for the Fiera. It is the same route as for the airport, and this needs to be kept in mind: at peak times the Roma-Fiumicino road also fills up with people going to catch a flight.

The Fiera website estimates about 40 minutes by taxi from piazza Venezia and about 10 minutes from Fiumicino airport. With a coach and several hotel stops the real times are longer, so we build the timetable starting from the opening of the halls and working backwards. If 120 visitors need to be inside at 09:30 and the hotels are between Termini and the Vatican, the first vehicle leaves early, not at the last minute.

For those arriving by air the Fiera is convenient: you can go straight from arrivals to the halls. In these cases we monitor the flights and, if a flight is delayed, the vehicle waits without you needing to tell us. With groups landing on several flights, the group transfer from Fiumicino and Ciampino is planned by deciding whether to wait for everyone or run several trips.

FL1 train or coach: when a dedicated vehicle makes sense

The Fiera has its own railway station, “Fiera di Roma”, on the FL1 line that links Tiburtina, Tuscolana and Ostiense with the airport. There are also Atac city bus routes (808, 089, 701 and 701L). For an individual visitor these are good options.

For a group the sums change. Forty people on a regional train means tickets to manage, changes with the metro and people getting lost between Ostiense and the platform. With a dedicated coach the group gets on outside the hotel and gets off at the right entrance. For a company with a stand and 25 staff, a minibus or a 36-seat midi coach is usually enough: between a minibus and a Gran Turismo coach the capacity and the size of the vehicle change.

Exhibitors and visitors: two different services

Exhibitors arrive before the public opening and leave after closing. They often have samples, roll-up banners or boxes of material: this is why we use vehicles with an underfloor luggage hold and say so at the quote stage. The typical service is outbound in the morning and back at the end of the day, for every day of the event.

Visitors, on the other hand, do not all move together. For delegations, client groups or schools we run repeated trips throughout the day: a hotel-Fiera shuttle at fixed intervals, for example every hour from 09:00 to 12:00, and staggered returns in the afternoon. Those who finish early do not wait for the others. It is the same pattern as our shuttle service for hotels, companies and trade fairs in Rome.

With more than 100 people we prepare a logistics plan with pick-up points, times, coordinated vehicles and a contact person you can reach on the day of the event. We use the same method for conventions, congresses and company evenings with our bus hire for events in Rome.

The events calendar

In the official Fiera di Roma calendar for the coming months, the events listed include Blue Planet Economy Expoforum (21-24 October 2026), NSE New Space Economy European Expoforum (25-27 November), Ro.Me Museum Exhibition (2-4 December) and EvooTrends (11-13 December). Dates and times may change: always check the Fiera di Roma events calendar before confirming your programme.

For services with several vehicles the recommended booking time is 2-3 months. For a single group in a quiet period 2-3 weeks is usually enough, but if other big events are taking place in the city in the same week, vehicles run out sooner.

How to request a quote for Fiera di Roma

To prepare a proposal we need just a few details, even provisional ones:

name of the event and the days you need the service;

number of people and whether they are exhibitors, visitors or both;

addresses of the hotels or starting points;

preferred arrival time and return time;

materials to be carried;

repeated runs or just outbound and return.

The quote is written and detailed: the driver, fuel, passenger insurance and maintenance are included, and tolls are shown separately. The indicative hourly rates in Rome give you a first idea of the figures.

For events at EUR rather than at the Fiera, we organise shuttles for congresses at La Nuvola.

For trade fairs in Milan we take groups to Fiera Milano Rho by coach from our base in Lainate.

We reply within a few hours during working hours; for urgent requests it is better to call. For large groups, though, the train means tickets, changes and waiting times: a dedicated coach takes everyone from the hotel to the entrance.

How long does it take from Fiumicino airport to the Fiera?

The Fiera’s official website estimates about 10 minutes by taxi.
